Helicopter Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring over a crowded southern California shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, eventually descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm groves as spectators looked on.
Videos shared on social media show the helicopter commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then descending near the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five people were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the accident on Saturday.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their injuries were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.

Officials mentioned the helicopter was linked to an regular “Cars N Copters” fundraising event planned for the next day.
